Private chef engagements
Working for various individuals as a private chef takes me all over the UK and beyond. I can help with anything from one day private bespoke dining events to far longer contracts providing a flexible service of creative, fresh and inspiring food to sympathetically enhance your event and add that extra layer of care, attention and flare, resulting in some excellent yet laid-back dining experiences that form a comfortable part of your event’s whole raison d’être.
Rates and Availability
Booking as far in advance as is feasible tends to help guarantee availability, for example, many of my country sports clients and friends tend to book for the following year at the end of that year’s event. That said, I do from time to time have last minute gaps in the diary – particularly weekdays and I also work with a small, select group of talented freelance individuals with whom I can team up to cover the extent of your booking should I only be available for part of your planned event.
Rates are based on a simple day rate basis, with the cost for food, staff, travel and accommodation charged on top.
The first day of any booking is charged at £750.00 with consecutive days being considerably less – for obvious reasons, not least of which is all the time and effort that goes into planning and preparing for each event. Subsequent, consecutive days are charged at £400.00 per day. Travel days are included in the first-day booking fee provided the journey is no more than 4 hours from HQ in east Devon. Is so, then travel days are charged at £250.00 per day.
Of course, I am open to conversations about cost, particularly when working with very small parties for just one day – which obviously can look expensive “per head”.
